Let me introduce myself.

Hello, my name is Tania Gisselle Marin Luis. I'm 17 years old and currently in my sixth semester at CECYTE High School, Primo Tapia Campus. As I approach graduation, I am eager to enroll in the Education Science program at the University of Mexicali (UM), located in Rosarito Beach.

I come from a family of five: my mom, dad, and two younger sisters who are in elementary school. I owe everything to them for their encouragement and support, which has helped me stay focused on my goals. Since high school, I have been drawn to the idea of becoming a teacher. I have had the privilege of learning from several educators who have earned my respect and admiration due to their exemplary teaching careers. The difference I felt when entering their classrooms was profound; it was clear that they valued us and were genuinely interested in our learning and development. This experience solidified my decision to pursue this career path.

Initially, I had some doubts, particularly regarding teacher salaries. However, I believe that the joy of teaching—imparting not only knowledge but also values and respect—far outweighs any financial concerns. I have always admired how individuals can express themselves and teach subjects they are passionate about without succumbing to nervousness. While it may seem easy at first glance, the reality is quite different. For example, I often receive compliments on my presentations, as I appear confident during those moments, which motivates me further to choose this career.

I plan to pursue a bachelor's degree in Educational Sciences, which I hope will lead to a master's degree. My goal is to become a teacher in either middle or high school, specializing in a subject such as chemistry or history. Initially, I considered studying industrial chemistry at UABC, but due to setbacks like distance and financial challenges, I had to explore alternatives. When people asked me, "What are you going to study?" I consistently replied, "Teaching." Rather than discouraging me, this realization helped me find a path that I would enjoy and that would bring me happiness.
