Let me introduce myself.

My name is Gabriela Soledad García Galicia. I am 17 years old and I am about to finish high school at CECyTE, Primo Tapia campus, in programming.

Since I was little, I have been taught that education is an essential tool for better growth. My story is not only that of a dedicated student, but also that of someone who has faced challenges and resilience and sees this opportunity as a key step toward her goals. After graduating, my goal is to continue my studies. Having a career would be a dream for me, because it offers hope for new opportunities. I want to make my family proud for the effort, love, and unconditional support they have always given me. I am very grateful to God for the fact that I have everything I need. My mother is my motivation and my example to keep going, as she has worked very hard to ensure that I never give up and become a better person every day. Throughout my student life, I have maintained good academic performance, demonstrating strong discipline and a passion for learning. My goal is to work to support my studies, since my mother is about to reach a certain age where she will no longer be able to cover the university expenses. It would be a blessing for me to obtain this scholarship to cover monthly payments, allowing me to focus on my studies without financial worries. I am also able to move forward and prepare for my studies. This fills me with motivation and hope. My dream is to pursue a law degree, and the reason I chose this career was because a beloved teacher was unfairly laid off for no good reason. I want to learn more about the law, all the laws, reforms, and their regulations. This path I have chosen will not be easy, but with dedication, effort, passion, and discipline, everything will be achieved. I want to thank the Rotary scholarship team for providing this opportunity for young people to continue fulfilling their dreams, goals, and hopes. As Aristotle says, "True happiness consists in doing good."
