Alejandro Melchor

Hello, my name is Raúl Alejandro Melchor Sánchez and I currently study at the Colegio de Estudios Científicos y Tecnológicos de Baja California, Plantel Primo Tapia — CECyTE.

Ever since I was young, I loved going to the store. I would always find myself looking at the back of products — wondering who made them, who would sell them, how they got distributed to every shop. In short, business has always fascinated me, and that curiosity has never left.

Unfortunately, when my parents divorced — I was 6 years old — my mom became the one who has always been there to keep us moving forward. There have been moments in high school when I’ve considered just going straight to work to help cover more expenses now. But I want to keep studying. I want to pursue International Business at UABC, and God willing, I hope to be selected for this scholarship, because it would make a real difference with transportation, food, and enrollment costs.

With this support, I could also take some of the burden off my mom. I’m not the only one she looks after — I have two sisters as well, and she has always been the one who carries us all. This scholarship would make it much easier to sustain my studies, and one day become someone who can give back everything she has given us.
