Damian Masias

Hello, my name is Damian Masias. I am 17 years old, I was born in Tijuana, and I live in Rancho 40, near Primo Tapia. I would like to apply for this scholarship because I want to continue my studies and build a good future. The university I would like to attend is UABC in Rosarito, but if I don’t get in, I would go to the University of Mexicali, even though I know it is private. Education is very important to me because I know that with a degree I can achieve my goals and become someone in life. Without this support, it would be much harder for me to continue, so this scholarship would be a great opportunity.

I genuinely enjoy studying because I learn something new every day, and that keeps me motivated. I consider myself a responsible and respectful person — I complete my assignments and treat others well. I am also friendly and enjoy spending time with my classmates and getting along with everyone.

Another thing I really enjoy is soccer, because it helps me unwind, get exercise, and learn to work as a team. If I were to receive this scholarship, I would be deeply grateful, because it would help me continue my studies and move closer to my dream of a good future. I promise to work hard and make the most of this opportunity. I know I shouldn’t let this chance go to waste — paying for university on my own would be very difficult. I would be the one covering tuition, with a little help from my mom, who handles our household expenses. Unfortunately, we don’t have support from my father. Thank you so much for reading this essay.
