Abasai Ramirez

Flight Attendant

Escuela Aeronáutica de Tijuana
Tijuana

Déjame presentarme.

My name is Guillermo Abisai Ramírez Hernández. I am 18 years old and I study at CECyTE Primo Tapia, upper campus, in the Hotel Services program. I would like to study to become a Flight Attendant at the Universidad Escuela Aeronáutica de Tijuana.

What does receiving a scholarship mean to you?

Having more opportunities for my studies.

What are the obstacles to your education?

My obstacles are that my mom is a single mother and has to work very late, since our house burned down a year ago and is still under construction — building materials are expensive, and what my mom earns is not a lot.

What is your passion?

My passions are drawing, going out for a run, and playing volleyball. I run 9 or 10 kilometers every day — I’ve included a sample of my running stats and some of my drawings.

Who has inspired you or offered you support?

My mom. She has worked so hard to get my sister and me ahead in life. She is a single mother, and I know that is not easy at all — she sometimes stays late at work and doesn’t get home until very late at night.
