Con gratitud
El Programa de Becas de Rotary no sería posible sin la generosidad de nuestros donantes.
A continuación se reconocen los donantes que han patrocinado a uno o más estudiantes durante un año.
Fasolino Clan
Fasolino Clan Takes the Plunge and Raises $2000!
Led by brother Gabe, the Fasolino clan turned an 80th birthday celebration into a scholarship fund raiser. Meeting in New Jersey for sister Mary Lou's 80th birthday, Gabe decided to join the local Polar Plunge and raise pledges for how long he could stay in the ocean. Between generous contributions from his siblings and the pledges from our club, Gabe stayed in the ocean long enough to raise over $2000, proving Gabe will freeze his butt off for Rotary Scholars.
Vancouver Sunrise Club
Club increases donation to $5000
This generous donation more than covers the full 4-year scholarships of 2 students. What a contribution from our sister club! The Rotary Club of Vancouver (WA) Sunrise has supported not only the establishment of our club but of the Rotary Scholars Program as well. Thanks to your donation, we will be able to include two additional students into the program this year.
Ramona Rotary Club
Ramona Rotary Club Values International Relationships
The Ramona Rotary Club increased their donation to $2000 this year. Enough to cover all the tuition for a complete degree program. We are so thankful Ramona chose the La Misión Rotary Scholars Program as their international partner. The club believes in establishing relationships with their partners and the La Misión Club is proud to be chosen for that role.
A guiding principle, evident in the club's actions is that Rotary meetings should be fun. This is an active group who know how to make a meeting both entertaining and productive.
Alaska Flower Girls
A scholarship so others may grow and blossom.
Alaska Flower Girls Peony Farm is a female owned, multiethnic, family centered business dedicated to bringing beauty and joy to the people they serve. When the peony season is over, the owner and staff travel to Mexico where they work to promote and sustain the Rotary Scholars Program.
Alaska Pioneers
"The Alaska Giving Spirit"
This generous gift is from an Alaskan pioneer family who has lived off the land, off the grid, and off the beaten path. They have dedicated their lives to experiencing the land and people of Alaska and to sharing their adventures with others. The Rotary Scholars thank them for their open and giving hearts.
Emilio de la Fuente Memorial
Scholarship for Science and Engineering
This scholarship is dedicated to the memory of a lifelong civil engineer and visionary member of the La Misión Rotary Club. Emilio was born and raised in Peru and immigrated to the United States after he completed his degree. He worked as a civil engineer throughout his career. Emilio married Gail and they had two lovely daughters and delightful grandchildren, all of whom brought great joy to Emilio. When Emilio retired, he and Gail moved to the La Misión area where Emilio delighted in the languages and cultures of his life.
